Frequently Asked Questions

Podcasters rely on transcripts for:

  • SEO for new listeners to find their show
  • Searching through & organizing old episodes
  • Creating blog posts for each episode
  • Making their show accessible for the deaf

We help hundreds of podcasters quickly, accurately, and affordably transcribe their content and then embed it on their sites.

With one copy-paste, our SEO-friendly embeddable player can unlock the value of transcripts on your site too:

Your fans can now search through all of your past transcripts with our full-search widget that you can put on your site (more details):

Can I have a sample?

Yes! Email your RSS feed url to transcriptions@podscribe.ai  OR go to your show’s page on our website, and click “View Sample”:

How does this work?

You publish your episode like usual, then we’ll automatically detect the new episode.

Within about 15 minutes of episode release, we’ll email you your episode transcript, link to edit, and embed code with nothing required on your part.

Most authors label speakers, make minor edits, then put our embeddable transcript player on the new episode page on their site.

Then their fans can read & search through the transcripts, and their page automatically gets an SEO boost since search engines can now read all of the episode’s content!

What’s the pricing?

All of our plans are yearly plans. We have 4 different price tiers.

  • 50 hrs/mo yearly at $959.90 ($79.99/month)
  • 20 hrs/mo yearly at $479.90 ($39.99/mo)
  • 10 hrs/mo yearly at $287.90 ($23.99/mo)
  • 5 hrs/mo yearly at $191.90 ($15.99/mo)

If you publish more than 50 hrs of audio per month, contact us for a custom quote!

How accurate is it?

For most podcasts, 90-95% of words will be correct. For high quality audio in which speakers don’t talk over each other, you can expect 95%+ accuracy.

But it’s always best to check the accuracy yourself. Luckily, you can get a sample of your transcript by following the instructions from the top of this page.

Can I get the transcripts before I publish my episodes?

Yes – you can manually upload any audio or video file at any time if you’d like to receive transcripts before you publish your episodes. Here’s how.

Can your team polish the transcripts for me?

Yes – our team (humans) can polish the transcript to 100% accuracy for you for $1 per minute of audio with a 48 hour turnaround time.

Can you transcribe my old episodes?

Yes. We can provide very reasonable rates for bulk transcription jobs.

Can I label speakers and edit my transcripts?

Yes, using our web editor. Here’s how to do so.

What format do I receive my transcript?

You can view and play through all of your transcripts on our web transcript player at any time.  We can email you a copy of the transcript to place on your website and/or provide the transcript in SRT format to upload to Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, etc.

How do I sign up?

Email us at transcriptions@podscribe.ai with your RSS url! Or, find your show on app.podscribe.ai and click the “SIGN UP TO TRANSCRIBE THIS SHOW!” button.

I signed up! What’s the next step?

Check out our Getting Started Guide. Embed your transcripts on your website. Learn how to edit them.

What is my login?

New users don’t receive log-ins by default, as many of them like to crowdsource their editing. This doesn’t mean that you don’t have an account, however! Signing up simply means that we will transcribe every new episode of yours moving forward. You are able to access, embed, and edit your transcripts right away.

If you would like to view billing information, cancel your subscription, or change your Podscribe logo, we’d be happy to help you over email, at transcriptions@podscribe.ai.

Can I automate any part of this?

Yes – our WordPress plugin can make a new post a few minutes after you publish an episode on your podcast host. The post will have your podcast’s description and transcript. Here’s how.

Why can I not upload my file to be transcribed?

While our system lets you upload files to be transcribed, it can only transcribe files that are 500 mb or smaller. Video files may not be smaller than 500 mb. Instead, try extracting the audio from your video file and uploading the mp3 instead. VLC is one popular video player that lets you do this. Many sites online let you do this too.
